Our son went to camp last year and the year before. He loves it and we’ve seen a big change in him; particularly in the way he relates to other people
MCYC aims to provide great holidays with a balanced mix of activities, free time and the opportunity to discover or develop a personal relationship with God.
We do this at Tyn-y-nant at Abererch, close to the coast on the Lyn Peninsula in North Wales. The site has excellent facilities for accommodating and feeding young people as well as recreation and craft rooms, football pitch, camp fire area, shop & café and more.
The camps are run by Christian volunteers who are all CRB checked and have been trained for their roles and led by a Director and team appointed by the MCYC Council. All activities, both on and off site, are carried out with the appropriate level of supervision. The morning group sessions and evening Padre times are geared to the age range of the camp.
Every effort is taken to provide enjoyable and safe holidays in a caring camp atmosphere; with 37000 camp holidays behind us and a high percentage of campers (and leaders) returning each year, we feel that MCYC is still delivering on Bill Buckley’s 1945 vision (see History).
